advice i give to artists looking to get into games:
- have a portfolio and make sure it is easily accessible
- if you aren’t sure what area of games you would be good at, try a bit of everything and see what you’re comfortable with. concept art, sprite/character art, background/environmental etc.

And I agree. Wholeheartedly. How would one go about getting into the industry as an artist though? Probably creating your own game?

we are going to have a lot of folks in games retire in the next few years so we need to ensure we have folks taking their spot so our industry doesnt die out
