ive mostly stopped doing this to focus on school, but i had to do a data visualization assignment so I figured id do something fun with it

Yeah I actually am going to need to put this project on an indefinite hold. I very well might come back to it, but this semester has been much more full than last semester and I don’t have the time to do this and get all my work done that I really should be doing (and have some me time too). Sorry

Sorry for no seibugeki stats last week, was busy having the flu. Also might be late with the Sumabato stats coming up because now I need to catch up on what I missed so I’ll get to it as quick as I can

Last weekend, LMBM 2025 took place with the newly minted #1 in the world Sparg0 being able to prove that he deserved the title by taking the win. We also saw a great run to 3rd from Syrup taking wins over Light and Tweek in top 8.

Last weekend in Japan, Maesuma'TOP #1 took place with acola taking home the trophy. We also saw yet another great run from Doramigi to second who seems to be on a hot start to the year in terms of major placements.

Sorry for the lack of posts recently, was taking a bit of a break so I could spend time with family for the holidays and also just have a mental health break, I'll try to return to regular posting with LMBM and Maesuma TOP this weekend. Still made the spreadsheets for the tournaments (see thread)

Not really going to do anything big with these just going to put them out there if people are curious, it turns out that this takes a lot of time that I don't really have to make these and I still want/have to keep up with current majors so

This weekend, Sumabato SP 53 took place with new major winner Raki taking home the possibly last major of the year. This tournament was very upset heavy with only one person in the top 32 placing their seed.

Last weekend Ultcore Fourth took place in Japan, with Raru being able to take home his first supermajor win. We also saw a great losers run from Doramigi to get second winning 8 consecutive sets in losers before losing to Raru in true finals.

it occured to me that i never posted my big spreadsheet of data on this site, so here you go. this is the spreadsheet that covers all data from the 2024.2 season.

also figured id mention that i ONLY look at the top 8 sets so some data is definitely skewed

Last weekend we got to see the return of Ultimate's first major, Don't park on the Grass, with Sparg0 taking home the crown yet again. This marks his 4th major win this season, helping to secure his 1st place ranking for the season. We also saw a crazy run from Lui$ for 3rd going to game 5 six times

Last Weekend, invitational The Throne 2 took place as successor to last year's Watch the Throne, with Sparg0 successfully defending his title. We also saw Drybie break the pichu curse at invitationals, being able to win multiple sets. Finally, Candle had a great breakout run to 5th.

Last weekend, Luminosity Makes Moves Miami took place with Tweek being able to take home his third EMG event of the year after four sets of Sonic v Diddy Kong in top 8. Also, while barely not making top 8, we saw a great winners run from Team Ultra's Skeleton to place 9th.
