This is a path into a whole other topic of discussion which is fascinating but not the reason I engaged you today. Thank you for your candor and providing the information to answer my original question. It gave me the insight I desired.

My lived experiences are no one else's. They've no reason to believe I've done anything I say because my life isn't scientifically documented. Someone will claim fraud if they only view life through their experience.

Taken to an extreme, yes. Subverting science to make it fit belief is just as delusional as closing my mind to only what is proven and having no curiosity. I don't have to believe it to learn about some new exploration and if it doesn't suit, then I walk away and leave them to it.

Your approach is reasonable. I appreciate your clinical stance. I shared a similar view for some time and have shifted to conscious malleability. I can be piqued by something and not embrace it. I choose to do the same with others and their experiences. Mine is my truth but not the truth.

This is true and it is also true that curiosity is what drives the scientific advancement of our views of reality. Every advancement is magic and folly to the science of the prior generations. Those daring to hypothesize the impossible are always seen as mad when they begin.

Bill, I appreciate the reply and while it wasn't directed to you, but rather Mr. Frodough, I didn't make that clear.

The only truth I know is that I don't know it all. Similarly, science is always evolving and discovering what was once "proven" impossible was simply not yet understood.

You present as rather passionate about your view on this topic. There is an intensity in the frequency of your comments in such a short thread that conveys that this is personally important. I'm genuinely curious to understand why.
