A guy (he/him), obsessed with the DS/3DS and handheld game systems of nearly every kind. Too Many Handhelds on YouTube.
One of the things that first sold me on the DS was how you could play Castlevania while looking at the map.

Now with the Thor I can play games on the top screen and have an FAQ guide with maps on the bottom screen to reference.

Spending the day in Chinatown with my family. This is from Le Shrimp Noodle Bar that just opened up. It was delicious!

The RG DS arrived, and it's gorgeous!

Giant sugary hot chocolate to stay warm this morning.

Thank you sir, I was trying to not kill the patient.

I will stay calm, but I'd be calmer if you stopped yelling at me doctor!

Does anyone use Gamehub? I'm having a blocker of an issue. I install games that I've seen others play on the same device on YouTube, but it gives me an error about not installing config files and doesn't run the game. It's online, the game(s) fully installed, I'm not sure what the problem is.

Lol, I was planning to read Age of Apocalypse on break next week. I also read the whole Nagatoro manga from that humble bundle (and the last book which wasn't in it). It started kind of rough, but got better as it went on, then it ended right when it peaked which was confusing. Great series though.

There is a version of X-Men 2 in the Sega Channel archive that has 8 lives! There are probably other differences too, but that's the one that stands out so far.

Ooooh yes. Will have some Sega Channel fun after work later!

I do recognize the format 🫡

I just checked the tracking on my handheld and, um, what? Just say it will be here tomorrow. This is like the time equivalent of $0.99 being under $1.

There was a Sonic Fighting game called Sonic The Fighters which was left on the Saturn and came and went without much fanfare. I forgot that LAD Gaiden contains the arcade version which looks beautiful in HD. I like how the Yakuza series has a little Sega arcade preservation in the later games.

Playing PSP on the Steam Deck is like a revelation! The screen is huge, and upscaled these games look amazing! It's also powerful enough to fast forward really fast when upscaled. I'm very impressed!

I've got to go back and finish Lies of P. I had a lot of fun with it, then got distracted, probably by Clair Obscur.

I hear there's going to be new info on the upcoming Resident Evil game.

That's cool, but I feel like the only person left on the internet that likes going into games as blindly as possible lol.

Retro gaming on the Steam Deck tonight. What are you up to?

Maybe one of these Spark things? I'm not sure, but I love the artwork from Super Mario Bros 2 (or Doki Doki Panic).

Holy crap, there's a sequel to Save Room! I'm late to this one lol.

Just playing some MegaMan X tonight. It was the first game I played through on the SNES mini, and I only started playing it around 2018. It's becoming one of my favorite retro games and every playthrough is a joy.

Geez, even my video games are putting up Christmas decorations before Thanksgiving.

I just finished Yakuza Kiwami 2 for the second time and this series makes me happier than any other game I can think of. Every time I play there's a new sub story that makes me smile, a Sega arcade game, or something else that just makes me happy. This might be my favorite game series of all time.

I always wondered how moving to digital would affect Gamestop long term, but I never imagined "Pawn shop for games" as an outcome.

"Let's see here... an iPad, a flat screen tv, and a laptop. I'm thinking $3.75 in store credit."

Apple has to be the only company that can get away with selling ports separately and no one thinks that's weird.
