I mentioned my therapist in class the other day & got a note from a student thanking me for being open and honest about my mental health. He said that he struggles too, and that my honesty helped him know that he was ok. Teaching is hard, but it's things like this that make every hard day worth it.

So, what’s everyone watching today? For me, it’s the Eras Tour on repeat.

My toxic trait has been that I believed kindness and a smile meant our beliefs were aligned. I miss who I was last month, I was full of optimism and hope and I didn’t wonder if the person I was talking to cared more about the price of gas than my safety as a woman living in the US.
