There's lots of fun to be had this weekend! Drop by the Friends of the Library's garage sale Fri. p.m. or Sat. a.m. to support the purchase of children's books. On Sat. a.m. we'll have a Pride Family Storytime @smitherslibrary.bsky.social, then visit our tent at the community Pride celebration.

Zeus's beard -- it's another fabulous, free VolunTEENS program! Teens, 'tweens & kids with an interest in ancient Greek mythology will find plenty of fun @smitherslibrary.bsky.social on Friday, March 21 from 9:30-11 a.m.. Costumes encouraged but not necessary.

2024 was another busy year at the library! Even with the Canada Post strike suspending interlibrary loans & the delivery of new book purchases, we nearly matched our busiest year ever (2019).

This Valentine's Day, head to the library for a visit with the kind helpers from Northern Lights Wildlife Shelter, stars of "Wild Bear Rescue". Learn about their work with the animals & make a craft to take home.
