Nonsense. Housing is expensive because we don’t build enough of it. Rents are set by the market, they aren’t “fixed” by billionaires.

Investment companies bought derelict foreclosed houses, renovated them and rented them for market rents. There was (and still is) a shortage of rental housing. People have been unjustly badmouthing the real estate industry on this for years.

Thank you for sharing. My dad was a B-17 pilot with the 384th Bomb Group. He flew 36 missions from 1944-45. He survived the war, otherwise I wouldn’t be writing this, but he did retain strong memories of his service and his comrades for the rest of his life.
