I once read something that the key to understanding Hegseth is that he was just a major. So he thinks like a mid-level officer. It’s all about lethality and war morale. No logistics, no strategy, no big picture, no technology. Just a pathetically simple view of war and the military.

In a rational time, his ass would’ve been fired immediately for posting stuff like this. But he’s comfortable saying it now because not only will the current admin not fire him, they’ll back him… no, they’ll **reward** him for it.

I’m in favor of a reconciliation commission. Come forward, admit what you did, and testify such that others are implicated, and the only punishment is being banned from federal employment or office. Keep quiet and risk full legal punishment.

The goal was never just to defeat Ukraine. It was to destroy it as a concept and as an identity. Putin has never even tried to hide that.

Nobody is demanding perfect because nobody is demanding the impossible. If your bar for what is merely acceptable or tolerable is low enough to include Trump, you're unworthy of the republic.
