What about building a strong stable relationship with the newly recognized State of Palestine by implementing an effective arms embargo on Israel without loopholes

I can't comment on this, but after reading Hochschild I find it impossible to view Wilson in any kind of positive light

Also Hochschild's book on the same subject: American Midnight: The Great War, A Violent Peace and Democracy's Forgotten Crisis

Even though she is the wrong person -- like you many are celebrating her Nobel Prize for the right reasons.

Unfortunately she is not the peace paragon that the Nobel Committee claims she is. I was informed about her by my son...

No doubt she is a courageous woman but she advocates military intervention to overthrow the Venezuelan government as others here have noted. It's an appalling choice. Trump is next in 2026

No doubt, and more (the limitation of $$$ in politics...) but changing the constitution will either need a monumental (beyond imagination) change in public opinion and probably the existing party system or a second American revolution -- which come to think of it would be unconstitutional

Palestine can now have embassies in these countries. That doesn't negate the fact that they continue to arm the genocide but it brings us closer to an arms embargo and sanctions

It's performative certainly and there's no doubt the conditions around Hamas are wrong but I don't agree it's dangerous. The positions on Hamas all existed before. The recognition of Palestine is a positive step that has been forced on these governments and it has consequences.
