Chislehurst councillor (it matters!) in London Borough of Bromley. Knows that the year consists of 2 seasons - rugby and cricket, with blues, jazz and cask beer all year round!
In the next 6 months the US are going to give Greenland an ultimatum.
It would be nice to think the UK and EU have contingency plans in place as to how they react.
But I’m not holding my breath…

Will the US instate Edmundo Gonzalez, who won the 2024 election in Venezuela?
Not holding my breath….

Surely it depends on what the criteria is - yours seems to be “did stuff I agree with politically”!!

The influence of social media means that nuance is removed.
Everyone now has to have an extreme reaction.

Four scumbags, you say?

But you don’t know my measure at all. All I’ve said that getting rid of the Corbynites who were in charge of the Labour Party and beating the Tories in 2024 don’t make Morgan Sweeney the guru many see him as.
That’s it.
December 28, 2025 at 3:32 PM
Again, that wasn’t my point.
December 27, 2025 at 6:31 PM
Where have a said that?! Read my original post. I suggested that Morgan McSweeny was one of the architects in removing the far left from power in the Labour Party. That’s hardly advocating support for Reform or the Tories!

On the flight path in to Brisbane airport someone has painted “Welcome to Sydney” in huge letters on top of their house.

You mean something that happened nearly 126 years ago is the measurement we should still use today?
It’s a matter of personal perception. Everyone’s perception is different.
December 27, 2025 at 4:26 PM
There is no single measurement. It’s a matter of personal perception.
December 27, 2025 at 4:25 PM
I still don’t understand why anyone is in thrall to him. Vanquishing the far left is clearly a good thing, but after 2019 it was hardly Herculean.
Then beating a very tired and divided Tory party in 2024 with just 34% of the vote hardly makes you James Carville or Karl Rove….
December 26, 2025 at 10:38 AM
I think his point is you never hear them and they never get mentioned.
December 25, 2025 at 2:31 PM
It’s clearly hyperbole, but “the only band that mattered” does sum them up well.
December 23, 2025 at 10:44 PM
You mean Single Transferrable Vote!

Polls at the moment resemble the first round of voting in French presidential elections.

The demographic of Reform voters suggests they would benefit more than voters of any other party from strong trade unions and mutuality.
