So much respect for Barry here. He’s dead right

Simon Jordan on TalkSport, unchallenged yet again.

As a Talksport employee, I am embarrassed by this rebuttal of what Neville said. This moron pontificates without question. It is bonkers.

And yeah, i'll probably be sacked. Fuck it.

Superb from Barry. Plenty of time for that. Cannot (absolutely can) believe the head loss over what Neville’s said. People are too thick or too racist to or both to understand the very simple points he’s making

The thing I’ve loved about the book is how many people have done what you’ve just done and shared what going to the game means. I always looks at the crowd and am fascinated by the tens of thousands of stories that have led all the people there

Thanks for buying mate. Noz is a fantastic writer and a lovely bloke. He helped me out a lot during the time period the book covers.

What’s been so strange about it all is that these people previously only felt emboldened to spout racist tropes while pissed on public transport. Now it’s done under the guise of ‘patriotism’ and ‘just asking questions’. Most can’t bring themselves to admit they’re racist while ticking every box
smnllyd5.bsky.social
And yet if you put that to them, they kick off and pretend they’re outraged

It’s terrifying how some folk who you’ve interacted with for years are all of a sudden not what you thought

There are actually people who think this sudden flag-waving craze is just patriotism - and not, at least a little bit, racism.

Them: “you can’t say anything these days!”

[someone says something]

Them: “YOU CANT SAY THAT!!!”

Made the mistake of saying something similar on there last night and the replies have been a flood of idiocy, some of it openly racist. Just proves Neville’s point really.

The other place - unsurprisingly, given what a cesspit it’s become - has lost its collective mind over the Neville video. Even if it’s a bit clumsy, the message is clear: we’re being divided. It’s a general point, not some wild claim directly blaming white men for a synagogue attack.

The relief that he’s simply not like the other two

Mad what a difference can be made by seeing a man stand in the the right place and catch a ball a couple of times

Must be rough when your team loses three on the bounce. A club in crisis.

I miss my team being good so, so much

The same VAR team checking Sesko’s goal says everything too. I don’t think it’s far fetched at all to suggest that officials are so terrified of being seen to give an advantage to United, they go too far the other way.

There are bigger longstanding issues as to why United can’t beat Brentford away and they shouldn’t be relying on refereeing calls, but it doesn’t change the fact this should’ve been a red card and would’ve changed the outcome of the game had it been given. Appalling.
