Small acts of kindness ripple infinitely outwards. We may not be able to change the big things happening around us, but we can keep our dignity and compassion towards others and towards ourselves. May your day be peaceful, my friends. 😊

You never know where your journey may take you. That is one of the biggest joys in life. Keep your mind open and curious in all things. Even on the hard days, know that there is hope and there are choices. Embrace every day, and live it. 😊

If you’re a leader at any level,

This is the time to courageously stand up for dignity, respect, empathy and unity.

A global storm is gathering pace. The winds have changed.

Align yourself with the right allies on the right side of history.

Whenever you welcome guests, treat them with kindness, grace and respect. Simple as that.

In a world that seems to be experiencing a rapidly diminishing supply of moral courage, may we all be a little bit more like Bishop Mariann Edgar Budde. That is, to call out injustice where we see it, speak truth to power, and choose compassion over fear 🦋
Wow. Bishop Mariann Edgar Budde fearlessly calls out Trump and Vance to their faces. This is heroic.

“In times of political upheaval, your values anchor you. Write them down and let them shape your actions and decisions.

For me, it’s evidence-based, community-focused policies grounded in compassion, empathy, equity, and inclusivity.

Kindness, decency, and integrity are non-negotiable.”
Why becoming more politically active is the best new year's resolution you can make
The power is in our hands to elect leaders ready to shape a better, fairer future. Getting politically active at a local level is a great step to make.

Word of the Day is one I keep posting at the end of the year, hoping its time will come.

‘Respair’, from the 16th century, is fresh hope, and a recovery from despair.

Here’s to a few drops of respair in 2025.

There's a stranger out there that still remembers you because you were kind to them when no one else was. Never stop being that person.

So don’t give up hope. Do not despair. That is what they want, and we shall not give them that satisfaction. In Japanese, there is a word my mother used to say to me.

“Gaman, Georgie,” she’d say. It means to endure with fortitude and dignity. We all could benefit the spirit of Gaman. /5

The world seems like it’s entering a dark and scary phase. The sense of inevitability and doom can seem heavy at times. But remember the various civil Resistance movements through history. It may get rough for a while, but we have prevailed before and we can do it again. 1/2
