This is for some ubuntu user who might be struggling to get some free space on ssd:
There's a file called 'syslog' in the '/var/log/' folder. This stores logs from your sytem and can grow really large, mine was over 8gb.

You can run: 'sudo truncate -s 0 /var/log/syslog'
to to get your space back.
