They didn’t use any energy in the 1st half 😁

From what I’ve seen and read he’s pace is a weakness and could be exposed in the Prem. Other than that he looks great and exciting to follow.

So our player does well on loan, isn’t that what we want from the system?
Me and my sons said back in July that he wouldn’t play many games for Spurs but we’d make a hefty profit. Buying a player so young is always speculate to accumulate either as a member of the squad or a profit.

I don’t want them to.

How did they see the goal?

He looks top class in a lot of skills, albeit in a lower quality league. He’s lack of pace could be a weakness.

There is only 1 London derby, everyone else vs Tottenham.

He’s called him worse already. Just don’t follow him, he thinks he’s clever and ‘ITK’ 🙄

I see what you did.

That’s been available all season to view, people can use a 30sec clip how they choose. It’s one of his first preseason games, I’m pretty sure there have been a few more points and principles talked about in their work since then. But if folk wanna slap him with this then do what makes you feel good.

I see the same passion from anywhere in the world folk are supporting from. I do understand part of TEI point that if I’m a supporter then I’m with you thick and thin but if you start calling me a Client Reference Number then you see me as a customer so you better start providing a good product.

I’m sure it is but I don’t think they’ll be up to buying the players to change that overnight. We’ve dropped a long way down the pecking order now and been decaying for a few years. It’ll need consistent smart transfers and good player development over a longer period to make some ground again.

He will be great somewhere else 🥺

Almost everything at board level and the level below has changed in the last year and this will take time to show results. However, they are all bean counters except for Lange (who also is if data is a variety of beans) so my faith in them making good football decisions needs a lot of nurturing.

Head coaches are egotistical, it’s a necessary trait. So if we pay they will come. Which way do we go though, someone with a bit of Spurs in them who would stay long term if it worked or a bigger name who might make a start but use it as a springboard?

I imagine the youngsters would get booed after a run of bad performances too. I’ve seen it before up there, heralded as the new messiah’s, a switch should flick that they become starters then bad touches or decisions bring out the groans and they wilt.

van de Ven’s pace covers for others mistakes but who covers for his? He was in no man’s land and not organising for the goals on Sat, so he can stop sulking. The team doesn’t defend well, nobody organises on the pitch. So I don’t think just playing ‘prettier’ football will get get us more points.
