Flags on public buildings, memorials is normal, or on homes for special occasions such as royal events or big sporting events etc, are absolutely fine.
In the UK it is usually/historically seen as jingoistic and not a good thing for people to raise flags on their own homes as a matter of course.

There are legitimate reasons for having different correspondence/service addresses, & Companies House should always know the correct residential address, but there should be a definite connection if it is the same person.
