A Coffee PSA:

A new website popped up: brevilleus.com; looks slick and as if it is actually made by Breville as their outlet site.

IT IS A SCAM SITE. 1000% scam. I confirmed with Breville this AM it is a scam.

Please spread the word. Worried about people falling for this.

Looking forward to testing these 28mm Continental Grand Prix 4 Seasons over the #UK winter. Initial signs are good, they went on by hand, which is one of my rules - if they don’t go on without a struggle at home, don’t ride them.

That scene in #SlowHorses where River had to place his grandfather in the home had me bawling my eyes out. Made me think of mum and her recent dementia diagnosis, and potentially what’s to come.

Completed the #Rapha #Festive500 on Sunday, but went out again today for one final ride in 2024.

New work laptop day yesterday. Started using in anger today, but man, that “new” Outlook is just awful - quickly reverted to classic - peace restored.

Just popped into #TheMapHouse in #SouthKensington to collect a signed circular tube map, and say hello to my birth year tube map that I’ve bought - can’t have it until the tube map exhibition finishes in January.

“But UK rules mean products cannot be tested abroad; they have to be tested in the country in a certified lab of which there are now none.”

I mean… ffs…

The main Christmas tree of Kyiv is about to kick-start the holiday season tomorrow.

The third Christmas of the full-scale war when we have rather humble trees and no celebrations in the historical part of Kyiv.

Not had a great experience with #CheckaTrade either. Had a leaking garage roof, two quotes from roofers ran into the thousands, for what turned out to be just 3 cracked tiles that a local roofer replaced using my spares for £30. Will never use again. www.theguardian.com/money/2024/n...

So our dishwasher blew the 10A fuse in its plug. Yes that’s right, 10A. In #UK domestic plugs you normally only see 3, 5, or 13A fuses - so quite why #Siemens supplied this appliance with a 10A fuse is beyond me. New 13A fuse fitted, dishwasher back in service.
