New item! This one triggers an explosion when you kill an enemy damaging nearby enemies. Also my first go at an animation and I think it turned out really cool.

Back from a little hiatus but I do not come back empty handed. I have been working on some more powerful items on top of the small buffs you select between rounds. This is the first one.

A shield that blocks the first instance of damage you take every round.

We now have a functioning little upgrades shop between waves (with animated text!).

Built the structure for increasingly difficult waves to spawn with a choice of upgrades between waves. To start for upgrades I am doing: attacks speed, bullet size and MS.

Let me know of others ones you might think are cool.

This one seems a little overtuned.

Third and last enemy! (for now)

Definitely the scariest one yet. Will definitely have to use it sparingly. Let me know what you think.

Second enemy just dropped!

Fat slugs that leave a trail that slows you. Took me forever to get the trail to look/work the way it does but I think it worked out.

Finding #godot 's node system really well designed. I had tried out #unity for a while a couple years ago and godot's nodes just seem to be more intuitive. For me anyways.

We have our first enemies (also a score and highscore). They just chase you around nothing crazy, but they are animated. Pretty happy with my first time doing pixel art.

Got attached to my #godot tutorial game so for a first game I will keep adding features to it until I can call it "mine". Feel like its a good way to get the basics down and not overwhelm myself with a big project.

After looking into it, I am going to use #godot as my first game engine. Node system seems neat and more intuitive to me and I already code in python so gdscript should be pretty comfortable for me. Let be know if you have any beginner tips. #gamedev
