Overall I liked it, even though it’s not my standard fare for topics I enjoy. I would normally criticize the unrealistic portrayal of both courtroom dynamics and mental health but the movie took care of that for me. It added to the drama and that’s the point. It’s a captivating thrill ride. Worth it

What I will dock points for is the reveal at the end. If it cut right when the lawyer realized what the client just said in the jail cell, we would have gotten the message. Everything after that was kinda implied and didn’t add much. The shot of the crowd getting ready to congratulate him I guess.

As multilayered and impactful as it was, I applauded how well it did its misdirections. Really toying with the viewer by putting in corruption, romance, mystery and even poignant messaging about justice and truth. Richard Gere’s character really was trying to do the right thing. Despite his demeanor

Other than wanting to be with the “perfect woman”. They use that word a lot. Perfect. It’s a bit cliche. The setting was a fun retro mall/hotel aesthetic and that was cool. The ACs were dressed as SpongeBob lol. They all had good chemistry I just wish it challenged us with a difficult choice to make

While it did get my heart fluttering a few times, I also felt frustrated that they focused and forced so much nuance from the men in the movie while Olson’s character was largely issue free outside of being indecisive. Kinda one note. The guys received almost no agency or interest for themselves.

The concept and execution were really nice. The ending was satisfying and touching. That said, I saw it coming from a mile away. At some point the guy next to me said “I knew it” which is what everyone was thinking too. I liked the overall message, it was cute. The actors did well also.

You can tell it’s a movie because of how many broke rank and how few important suspects weren’t disappeared. A lot of deals and two faced smiles. A few moments fell a little short of the overall message but overall it’s really great. I loved the lead in this. He was a bad ass all the way. Impressive

Easily one of the best Netflix productions I’ve seen from last year. Really exciting to watch and genuinely impressive how proficient the villains were here. Literally one step ahead at almost every move. A lot of moments of lost hope being turned around so there’s satisfaction to be had. Revenge!

The house itself was awesome! Huge and spooky! No idea why or how they lived or continued to live there. Must be rich or something. Never saw them cleaning it or anything so I don’t know. Cool setting though. Poor birds. Anyway, I had a really good time and if you want a good scare check this out!

Surprised all the way through. Well, almost. I kind of picked up on the sister twist as early as the porch scene but that didn’t detract from so the later mysteries. There’s still a lot I haven’t pieced together. It’s largely understandable but also creative and unique. Trauma and regrets galore.
