This is why the sports games, kart, and party are fundamentally non canon. I will die on that hill. Your “everything is cannon” approach is ruining this franchise little by little as you try to make greater and greater concessions.

Some of your points Remind me of when I found out they were putting out a new Fire and Ice comic and I discovered that over half the story was gonna be devoted to random side characters from another miniseries I hadn’t even heard of.

I kind of hope they just have a scene where the characters try to recruit Steve and he just says “no. I’ve got a baby. Sam is Captain America now”. And then he’s not in the rest of the movie.

It’s so annoying that some characters redesigns are very minor to the point of not even noticing but then other characters like DK are so different they look like they’re from different games.

Mr. X feels more like a specific character. Kackle feels more like a type of Kremling bad guy akin to Klaptraps and Kritters.

I haven't been listening or calling in because Bananza didn't do it for me and I don't want to just be a downer on the whole experience. But I guess I should get over it because there's no way Bananza can just be ignored. As much as I hate it it's changed the franchise permanently.

The idea of doing this makes me gag.
Eh the beat em up combat felt kind of lacking to me but it was still a very enjoyable game (I have also played all the Toads games). It’s just not quite where I would have taken the series, at least not entirely. Maybe with a few tweaks. I would still say my favorite is the Arcade game.
