First of the Spring/Summer.

Snake seems to be open. And then closed. And then open again. Even living at the bottom of the hill, i cant actually keep up with the changing road status. Apologies for the lack of updates. But as soon as i write something its out of date.

Derbyshire county council are saying (as of 2 hrs ago) that the snake is "passable with care".

1334. According to Google maps, Snake is closed.
Cars do appear to be going over Snake, but very slowly.

Cant say its a great idea. But i guess you cant stop people if there isnt a snow gate.

Thick fog on Snake. Like - *thick* and down to low levels. It's not closed, but you can't see much.

White over in Old Glossop. Cars coming over the Snake *slowly*. Its likely to be a but dodgy and slippy up there.
*especially* if you still have summer tyres.

Be aware, just past Hagg farm on the section down toward "the straight bit" there is an area where loads of gravel has been washed onto the carriageway. Its formed a considerable lump and you might have to deviate onto the other side of the road to get round it.
