It's a criminal issue that shouldn't belong in Ofcoms remit and the organisation is toothless at the best of times, funded through companies it relegates.

People don't want a "strong man" necessarily but someone with his hands on the levers instead of saying "it's not my job, it's theirs".

The main reason why the anti establishment parties are cutting through. Hiding behind ofcom, OBR etc instead of showing strong leadership

The article is saying the opposite, that some dog food isn't just a by product of meat eaten by humans, it's prime cut meat from a different animal.

If you ask AI to scrutinise the source of that figure, it'll be based on advertising reach which includes bots

It's such a strong year remember doing a Twitter best albums poll during lockdown and there were pages and pages of classics

Loved that mix, it was great. I'm up to 1993 part 1 so far. Would enjoy a 1997 onwards or even early to mid 70s.

Coffee and TV. Hey Boy Hey Girl, Firestarter, Here it Goes Again. Virtual Insanity, Praise You (or Weapon of Choice is another favourite).

The riots really polarised people either with or against them. He lost a lot of popularity from that. Disability benefits, employer national insurance and inheritance tax for farmers worsened it after he'd won back business confidence pre election. His majority was always broad and shallow.

Because you're a politico, I'll say Shifty.

I often saw Timothy Spall at the pub in Barbican in a 3 piece white suit. When we were drinking near Farringdon in the square, we once saw Benedict Cumberbatch walk past us and jump into a taxi

My uncle lived 3 doors away from Richie Burnett and I played Brendan Dolan in darts after I won a raffle.

Hopefully he tells the real story one day because I found that final show a bit sad. No T-Bones Trifecta, none of his usual gems, just a few old bloc party mixes strung together with not a lot of talking. I really hope he wasn't pushed because his show has been a constant for a long time.

And will end my 12 years of listening to Huey every week. His music opened up my ears to things I would never listened to on my own volition.

Your mixes as well have inspired my musical exploration. Still making my way through Bobby & The Xennials (I'm up to 1992).

The Gruffalo is one of the worst, as is Tiddler. Smeds and the Smoos, Zog and the Flying Doctors (which for me, pips the original) and Tabby McTat deserved better.

Stick Man should be #1

Where did £6bn come from? I thought it was £570m?

And so they should. It's been 28 years of inaction on Shannonvale Park in West Cork. They can no longer build houses in Dunmanway due to wastewater issues.

Unfortunately Bob Dylan is awful live. He's completely lost his voice.

You say that but they're polling 29% on average, so are you saying a third of the voting population are racist? Their appeal is related to immigration, but also discontent on cost of living and that nothing works. People have become impatient and want instant solutions and they propose few policies
December 4, 2025 at 11:59 PM
I agree, they switch because they are unhappy with the current party and they think Reform is a break from the status quo. They'll get disenchanted the more Tory MPs that defect to them, and the more these racist claims come up. The other issue that may nullify them is reducing immigration from 855k
December 4, 2025 at 5:52 PM
The more he keeps having to defend racism, the more racist he appears to voters. And hopefully more comes out, especially if it's more recent.

I'm honestly not sure about Matthew Macfadyen as Smiley. He's undoubtedly a great actor but he's also 6 foot 3 and doesn't remotely fit the description of Smiley.
December 3, 2025 at 9:36 AM
That's true but the media are not exactly scrutinising the policy gaps. His weaknesses have been laid bare but BBC and others are so favourable towards him, it may not matter.

Starmer and others need to go attack his spending commitments and economic policies more often.

I'm honestly not sure if regular people will notice, they seem like the protest vote of choice at moment despite their lack of policy depth, and Labour will have a tough job turning it around. Are the polls shifting much?
