I saw an interesting blip that even if the Dems can't take the Senate at the midterms, there will be enough progressive Reps that see the lame fuck they have in Trump and move forward with impeachment. This way they can have a 28 candidate that has leadership experience and therefore is more viable.

When Trump won re-election, I openly speculated that he would be president for 3 to 6 months, before being impeached and having Vance take over. This remains a viable threat because I believe this was the Project 2025 plan all along.
