A lot of distros have what's called a "live environment" before you actually go to install it, where it'll run a temporary instance of the OS straight from the install media without touching anything else. Perfect for just trying it out or doing some quick experiments!

u know everyone glazes 3rd strike's attack animations (for good reason) but an underappreciated aspect of why that game looks so fucking -good- in motion is how they have a LOT of different, super expressive being-hit animations and they frankenstein them together to make shit like this

when my wife and I were working on doing custom animations for melee yoshi we discovered his rig is so putrid that his eyelids aren't even weighed symmetrically(????), so if you move his eyelid bones together they close at different rates like an early pixar character
