It’s so much more expensive than people realize. I miss my birds. But I cannot afford to raise chickens again.
I can relate to this. We raised chickens for years. So there's the chicken coup. The netting, to keep hawks from getting them. The electric fence to keep raccoons out. The feed and the constant maintenance. It was an expensive, labor intensive hobby.

After almost 2 months without a coffee pot (roommate broke my carafe) I shall have a new one… today! Life will be bleak still, but I will be buzzing with caffeine again!
