TBF to the locals too, Labour absolutely took this town for granted during the Blair years. At a time when other towns/cities had a lot of investment, Mansfield just got a slow down in decline, zero growth & became a low pay, low property price ghetto.

I live there. Unless something drastic happens before the next election this seat is a shoe-in for Reform next election.
The town has suffered a catastrophic lack of investment & TLC from central Govt for 40 years.
It's also suffered a massive IQ drain as our smartest kids go to Uni & never return

My missus was on it about 15 years ago. The opening host (not her 😅) sure enough was a prize wanker. The crew shared some info on how they set the shows up when on the last night the opening host had a massive tantrum & stormed out & they had to stop filming him during his strop.

CDWM always ensure that the most obnoxious member of the group goes first. The contestants generally score higher on the first night before they realise what a prick the first host is. Viewers then dpend the rest of the show hoping the prick doesn't win.

34% of Londoners don't consider it's safe, which should be a concern. However if you polled any town you'd probably get a similar figure who don't feel safe in their own community. So is it a preception that crime is more prevalent than it acually is or symptomatic of people becoming more isolated?
