Check your public library! Many have (free!) book clubs and other activities, and are open to suggestions as well. Libraries are also meeting spaces, and the librarians will know about groups who meet there, even if they're not library sponsored. Go say hi to a librarian! We have the hookups.

As someone who went to college after the advent of cell phones, who never had a landline phone as an adult, this is mind-blowing.
