No, I looked. When it first happened, I googled it and a lot of people were complaining about it. It's a 2009 so maybe the newer models don't do it or let you turn it off.

I know this...my Prius doesn't. I gun it to get up a hill, a tire slips, the Prius cuts all power to the wheels, I'm screwed halfway up the hill. Love my Prius...except for that. (So, like you said, I choose my route carefully so I don't screw others over.)

Needed a brown belt. Couldn’t find a brown belt (in my size). Had to order a brown belt from Amazon.

We stopped getting live trees because they got so damn expensive and I didn’t like the thought of killing a tree just so I could drag it into the house, have it slowly die, and drag it back out.

(We don’t have ornaments on it yet…that’ll be the real test.)

For me, the bigger companies (electric, gas, credit cards, etc.) don't charge a fee and I pay them online. But my water company and my borough (taxes, trash, etc.) and other places do charge. So they get a check. I believe because they hire a company to process the charges and they take the fee.

I still use checks sometimes because I’m not paying an extra $6 to pay electronically. Make it free and I’ll use it.
