Heresy-era Death Guard are a simple scheme, and it feels nice to get an entire unit, or even a vehicle, done in a few hours.
Being from 7th, I like the rules, but it doesn't feel like "real Warhammer" without the Xenos armies...

It's funny; I thought this would be a very easy job, and then realized how much detail there is to work on.

New recipe made this so much easier than my old ways. I'm excited to get back to my OG boys after a long trip around the rest of the hobby.

Knowing I still have 39 more models to paint and 1 that's perpetually out of stock is... sobering. I'm hopeful that "nobody looks at your hordes" holds up.

The worst parts right now are hazard-striping and even griming. Next set will have more basing efforts, hopefully.

This is the least colorful Warhammer army I've ever done, and sometimes I'm struggling to figure out places to put more color...

My next Warhammer army's going to be Iron Warriors. I thought it would be cool to give them a "mud, blood, and crud" look, but I could only finish one torso for now.

I need a few more rounds before I can figure out how I feel about it, but everything seems pretty tight on the balancing. It might end up being better than Warhammer 40k's Combat Patrol format. Maybe.

It's been pretty fun. It's nice actually feeling like there's consequences to the matches.

Part of our Warhammer store's Christmas party this weekend.

I ended up going 3-0 with what sounds like a commanding points lead, but we won't know the overall results for a while.

I also finished my Jump Intercessor squad. Not a huge fan of this kit, but it will do.

We ended up doing a huge 2v1 battle on Friday. Necrons and Marines vs a kitbashed Traitor Guard regiment.
I also finally put my Repulsor together and got some new Terminators built./

They thought my Salamanders were Fallen because my green's a little too dark.
So they saw who was truly the Warhammer Forty Thousand.
(It was me.)
A good game that went my way after I pounced on a great opportunity on turn 3.

I have some ideas for the chainsword and the cape is in dire need of more color, which I'm gonna figure out next time I paint.
Adding a little color to Warhammer when you're already bright green is hard, man.

Why, yes, I'm preparing for the Flamestorm detachment. How could you tell?

Two Combat Patrol games, watched a bit of Sigmar, helped out a bit with someone less used to 40k.
Tiring day, but I walked out with a new Captain.

And a quick smash-up "just shoot dudes" game of Warhammer 40K. Felt pointless, but I also felt like I helped the other guy get a better grip on the rules.

This was 750 points against Space Wolves. I felt bad because I wiped almost half of his points off the board turn 1... And then we spent the rest of the match trading heavy hits like that.
It was close. Murderfang was the last man standing, but I won through objectives.
