The last few LD I feel like I never have enough time to build in the 1 hour build time.

When Unity takes 45 minutes to build and you start AT the deadline it kinda is pain.

There's only one feature I miss from Godot vs Unity. And that's that every node has a "GlobalPosition" so you never have to fuck with parent nodes, or like transform offsets.

Some follow ups, TL;DR: Due to game jams having malware risks, and the Unity stuff increases the risk, A WebGL upload, even if not as good as the Desktop version, is both a safety thing for others, and a general sign of good faith that the game is legit. No blind exe downloads

#LDJam people! If you're using Unity: Make sure to do WebGL! If you hadn't seen Unity just disclosed that there is vulnerabilities in older versions that affect Desktop Windows/Linux/Max!

WebGL is better AND safer for everyone! It makes it so people don't need to download/setup anything to play!

There was another worth checking out recently called 'Lapce' I've been checking it out. I think Lapce is much more minimal but something to check out. I don't actually know much about Zed but Lapce I think was aiming for like a VSCode layout which was easy for me to jump in and get started.

I'm going to crash out the next time I see a YouTube short on a channel talking about "Some cool indie game" and then mentioning the name at the very last second of the video one time, and not putting it in the description....

Yeah this time around most themes are fine, the few I said -1 for are good themes, but things that I'm sure that if it's picked I'm going to have to spend way too long on due to it wanting it to be a core aspect of the game(Lighting for Shadow, Shaders/VFX for fog, Crafting system for Alchemy etc.)
