I don’t know how booing the PM and politicizing the shooting helps the Jewish community. If anything, they will lose empathy and the goodwill of the Australian community.

NSW’s weak as water gun laws and the fact he was ready to cut a deal with the SFF only months ago. So yeah blame the protesters.

One of the worst states has been NSW where the shooters, fishers,and farmers were cuddling up to Minns only a couple of months ago. So while the LNP are not good on these issues, neither is Labor.

Labor has governed QLD far more than LNP since the late 80s. The LNP hasn’t changed the gun laws since they came to power in 2024. Whether they will play nice remains to be seen but up until now the federal government has been hands off.

Wasn’t it only a month or two ago Minns was cosying up to the shooters and fishers lot. The weak gun laws might have a lot more to do with massacre than the marches.

From what I’ve seen of pig shooters on the western downs QLD, they protect the breeding stock while wrecking the joint. So a lousy excuse to keep guns.

I leave feedback every time I visit the new website. I ***** hate it, particularly the radar. Why can’t we have the old map so I can flick from one radar to another to check what is happening elsewhere. I hope it improves by the time reg.bom.gov.au is scrapped.

It should be noted that the CEO pictured only started the job this month. The previous CEO who served from 2016-2025, is now leading the Gladstone Ports Corporation. The new guy inherited a sh*t show.

The CEO, appointed in 2016, and presumably responsible for most of decisions that led to this debacle, resigned earlier in the year. He is now heading the Gladstone Ports Corporation. The new CEO who seems to actually have some technical expertise

They just like something to whinge about. I live in Central Queensland, where we are all labelled as red necks but there are plenty of people who don’t share these sorts of views.

After your excellent investigative reporting in 22, I expected this issue to gain traction, both politically and in the wider media. But aside from your follow up, there was little interest in BOM’s mismanagement

If you want a simple website with access to your local data and are not reliant on the radar, good for you. If you want a decent overview of what is going on around your state +/- country, the old website is far easier to navigate. Also the radar is much better.
