Some democracy. Not saying we must have a woman candidate but if we can’t have one well that is not a democracy coalition.

I’d say anyone running on FDR’s 4 freedoms can build a big enough tent. Coalitions are difficult. You have to appeal to each one.

Both my Senators are white women and my rep is a Black woman and the reps in adjoining districts are white women. But they do all fit the office. Just don’t like unconditional surrender to bigotry.

Do Democrats have a chance to win? Is losing with the most anti-Democratic candidate any better? I don’t disagree at all with fitting the candidate to the office but Democrats first need to find their soul.

Wasn’t it DeGaulle who said or quoted that nations have no permanent friends only interests. Canada is the most obvious. And “long-term” when it comes to history and culture is a very long time.
