60 ml Bourbon whiskey
22.5 ml tawny Port
7.5 ml maple syrup
6 drops bitters
Stir ingredients with ice, strain into glass, garnish with orange twist.
I did not have the specialty bitters the original asks for, but cinnamon works great!

Comes pre-painted, snaps together, about 12cm/4.5" tall.
I might try a bit of washing/weathering if the plastic isn't too slick for paint to stick.

I've been keeping an eye out for grebe chicks, since it's adorable how the parents carry them around on their backs.
No such luck yet. However, while this adult swan was definitely keeping an eye on me, it was otherwise okay with me taking photos of the family. 🙂

I've been keeping an eye out for grebe chicks, since it's adorable how the parents carry them around on their backs.
No such luck yet. However, while this adult swan was definitely keeping an eye on me, it was otherwise okay with me taking photos of the family. 🙂

A male tufted duck! Named for, y'know, the obvious tuft. Females have a smaller tuft and are dark brown and lighter brown on the sides.
I haven't seen them around for a few years, was good to see them back again.
Still haven't been able to get a nice shot of a magpie, though.

It's definitely not your standard animated movie. There's no musical numbers, in fact no speech at all, and major elements are just left unexplained.
Still, I'd highly recommend giving it a watch.
