There's that aspect, but there's also that some people genuinely want to sleep with politicians they like (and also don't like). They can't imagine anything untoward happening because in that situation, they would have been an eager participant. Politicians are celebrities.

I get where you're coming from, and I agree it should be a path people have to choose for themselves, but I do think it's important to at least have a feeling that a politician would be themselves on the line if they were present. That feeling is ... nonexistent currently.

When quite literally one of the most powerful people in the world, with the means to vaporize your career, freedom, being-alive-ness, etc. wants an affair, you think there's nothing to be examined? That it's strictly just she did or did not consent?

If this had been the first time she did something like this I would be more inclined to think she meant it long-term, but it ain't.

Even if she made a clean break with the GOP, she's morally bankrupt in so many other regards that--wait, I see why liberals want to claim her now.
