Also… it’s legit hard to balance the desire to get excited about the new hockey season while MLB playoffs are happening.

Realized this last year when I went to the Ducks home opener but spent the entire game watching the Dodgers v Padres game on my phone.

So happy for this kid! Was impressed when I got to meet him his rookie year. The Ducks have far flashier young talent, but he is one of the most underrated defensemen in the league and just keeps proving his worth. Now, this new contract will make him the highest paid player in Anaheim history.

Now watching: “House of Wax” (2005)

Just some good old fashioned mid-00’s fare for an easy going morning. A bit by the numbers, and plenty to eye roll at, but enjoyable enough to have on in the background during October nonetheless.

It’s been maybe 20 years since I’ve seen it. Just now noticing that, outside of “saying his name makes him appear,” I’ve forgotten literally everything else. Fun to revisit early 90’s, pre-Scream horror. And… of course, Virginia Madsen!
