RAD is a small #lolitafashion brand with an emphasis on gothic & fantasy elements. Most pieces are handmade in Australia unless stated otherwise.
A rich blue fantasy ensemble made from chiffon, shantung, and textured upholstery fabric. The dress utilises an A-line lolita fashion silhouette and length, with hankerchief hem chiffon in tiers from the waist, and an asymmetrical, high-low hankerchief overskirt in shantung. The bodice and cropped vest on top are heavily embroidered with gold thread and embellished with dragonscale smocking. The outfit is completed with a belt made of chains of pearls with gold frame embellishments, and blue and white crystals. A photograph of a black gothic lolita dress on a dressform, against a cream coloured wall. It has a gathered panel at the bust with red jewelled chain across the bodice, a batwing, high collar framing the neck, and a cage skirt design with batwing scalloped hem. Time to talk about Nightmare Rising! 🐙

This piece came about in 2013 to test out a factory. There were a lot of behind the scenes issues with this design, but it did end up coming to fruition. The dress is available in Black x Silver and Navy x Gold.

From the Frills & Fireballs series, it's Daisy: The Ranger! This series was inspired by the idea of a jfashion D&D/fantasy RPG party. Daisy is inspired by all things bright and pastel, with particular nods to decora and brands like Spank! and 6%DokiDoki.
