The tech industry has known for decades that scaling vertically is bad and expensive and yet for some reason we’ve all convinced ourselves that it’s the only way to grow AI.

Third book of the year. Finally done with this series. This one was especially irritating as it was a near complete ripoff of the Fall of Numenor and the invasion of Valinor. Been a while since I’ve seen such an egregious rip off, it really ruined an otherwise decent book.

From earlier in the week, a trip to NYC’s Botanical Garden. A little late to see most of the blooms, and hot as hell outside, but suffice to say it was still a wonderful time.

First book of the year. I’ve been struggling to finish this since December. This is not a good book and is nowhere near the quality of the prior 3 in the series. I hope the last 2 are better.
