May took part in window-smashing campaign March 1912, and was sentenced to one month’s hard labour. This embroidery contains names women prisoners TWL.2012.24

She was a key member of the Lewisham WSPU branch. Votes for Women newspaper had local notes columns which are a rich source of information on activities. October 1908 sold a great many pamphlets on Blackheath. She also stepped in to chair a meeting digital.library.lse.ac.uk/Documents/De...
