Are we all in pain today? I've got the freaking AC on bc my office has 5 windows and French doors and it is sweltering. But Monday... my sinuses are already crying.

Well, they wouldn't quit fighting long enough to even eat dinner. So I told them they should be more grateful to have each other and now I'm crying again. I miss my family so fucking much.

Does crying while I make dinner mean I'm a real mom now? I miss my family today a lot. Jon's family sees each other too often to appreciate what being together today means and I am struggling. I hope everyone had a good Christmas.

My therapist gently told me she thinks I might need extra support this holiday season, so I'm doing great. It's fine, I'm fine. (It's not, I'm not. But persisting is kinda my entire thing, so here we are.)

There is something quite shattering to spend so much time researching the perfect gift for the recipient to barely even look at it. I fear I'm not ready for Christmas at all.

Jon offered to sort them and did so without looking at the box to see how many each puzzle has. I did one and it was missing pieces. Now I have to do them all or I won't be able to sleep tonight bc they're messed up. This is almost worse than them all being together. 😭
Jon is doing some work, so I thought I'd do a little puzzle from the 12 Days of Catmas. Tell me this isn't the rudest thing they could've done! 😾

Made Jon swear to stop me and Ambien from shopping after my accidental 25 lb guinea pig food purchase for my baby possum that lives under the deck. "Not this time babe, it's enrichment for the cat!" I compromised by agreeing to add to cart only. The cat needs a laser toy.

This little friend is a northern flicker and it stopped by the bunnies' water bowl. Gemini says it's a female. She also seems to like my new tray feeder. Less fun is the hawk I didn't manage to grab a pic of earlier. We've had two birds die on my porch this year. I don't need more.

I keep trying to watch Batman on TV on Saturday night, but the channel is messed up. I own the DVD set, but there's something about watching it on antenna TV. Reminds me of being a kid.

Fool me once... Don't get fooled by the new sushi place in Affton. That bottom dish was labeled as "salmon mango(6)" and cost $11.95. I don't see 6 of anything in that picture and the illness that happened the next morning will seal me never going again.

Not me over here feeling paranoid about not wearing deodorant while waiting for my mammogram appointment. I put some on last night, but I took a bath earlier and couldn't put more on yet. But I'm also not brave enough to break the rules. At least it's not summer?

No answers yet on the kidney stone, but I have a CT this afternoon. (Mercy came through with a same day appt... love them for that.) I bought the pink ones on the way home and came home to the yellow ones. We had also bought each other donuts and I got him a plant. Just disgustingly adorable. 😍

I think you could make an argument for Phil Spector being the dumbest person of all time. Firstly, he fumbled that goddess Ronnie. He created magic and then threw it all away by being a terrible person who hurt women. Truly infuriating, but at least he can't do it again.

I never watched Grey's Anatomy and there's too many seasons to start now, but I've been watching it through reels. Does Derek really suck? Because he seems like he might.
