I think the USA Network blue sky era perfected the season long plot. The'd dedicate a scene at the beginning and end of each episode to it and then the rest of the episode would be its own story. The season finale would be all about the season long plot.

That lineup was hell from batters 1-6. You were afraid of Joey Cora? YES! He'd get on base in some annoying way and it's just another runner for Griffey, Buhner, or the Martinez "brothers" to send home. It could have been even worse but they kept A-Rod on the bench.

I was once talking to a guy at a party who played at Boise St. and he said when they played Idaho not only was Mike Iupati so freaking strong he was also incredibly mean. So this checks out.

This game against the Jaguars makes no sense. I know the '99 Jaguars were the 1 seed so they still had talent, but putting up 36 points against them is so improbable and yet not as improbable as Tony Banks putting up 39 points.

I take a regular walk down to the Huntington Beach pier and during Rose Bowl week you see a lot of fans from whatever schools are playing that year. This year I didn't see anyone wearing 'Bama gear, I only saw Indiana gear.

I knew I wouldn't like it because being a child of the '90s I was subjected to several school assemblies where they tried to teach us different subjects with the power of rap music.

I also think when a fan base has a good but not great quarterback they get defensive because they aren't even sure how good he is. I think he's a really good QB but he does enough stupid things that I'm terrified and uncertain about the outcome every time he goes back to pass.

I'm not talking about you and Nate, but Brock Purdy seems to be graded differently than any other quarterback by a lot of analysts. Somehow whenever he does anything good it's because of Shanahan or his weapons but if he does anything bad it's all him.

I think Fred Warner should retroactively be given the last 4 DPOY awards after having to watch the 49ers defense the last 11 games.
