I was about to say it does work with Powertoys remapper, and the same behavior is true. Right control will not work.

But it is persistent once you override.

It sounds unrelated tbh. Check for AE updates or reinstall it. Some google searches stated that “AE just does that” but there are steps to fix it.

Was talking to some other artists as well last night, seems to be the general consensus. Twitter numbers are artificially inflated.

Bsky seems to be more community based.

Did some quick math, Windows 8 was killed in 6 years (but it was replaced with 8.1, which had a long lifespan, literally dying out like two/three years ago).

Windows 10 would technically be the shortest otherwise.

After the reboot when the edition was changed, you need to go back to the script and press 1.

This was shown in the long form video but was ultimately cut for time (there’s a size and video length limit here).

If you open the script again and press 1 (HWID) it will repair the problem for you.

It’s interesting but doing in memory code modification of system runtimes, which technically would be more unstable and potentially insecure (“oh no stepviewer my driver crashed!”) rather than actually patching the binaries.

But to do that, they’d need some source, and each OS to be cracked.

This script uses the windows phone activation method which should completely bypass that limitation so long as they can connect to the internet while doing so and get windows updates.

Someone else did the math and Win10 is being axed the earliest of all the modern (since XP) OSes. I didn’t verify it tho.

Probably not. They could fix it but it would take so much time and effort that it is better/saner/safer to fix it in Windows 12 than anything else.

To give you an idea, this has existed since Vista.
