Billy Joel sang about 59 people in his song "We didn't start the fire". At release 16 were alive. As of today, only 3 remain, Bob Dylan, Chubby Checker, and Bernie Goetz. In 2029 another song covering the same amount of time as the original, 40 years, could be written with absolutely no overlap.
