ἐποχή is not an option now.
Grazie, Signore, ma lo sappiamo già.

As Sigmund Freud supposedly (but it's apocryphal) said before leaving Vienna, "I heartily recommend the Gestapo to everyone!".

.the interior ministry said ICE staffers would only work in U.S. diplomatic offices such as the Milan consulate, and "not on the ground". It added, "All security operations on Italian territory remain, as always, under the exclusive responsibility and direction of the Italian authorities." (Reuters)

It's good to have evidence of the obvious. But such evidence matters only in a court of law & the US executive has become a criminal enterprise with no respect for law. The plan has always been to provoke a violent reaction, impose martial law, suspend habeas corpus & fulfill the whole nazi agenda.

Well funded Gestapo. History has a few lessons on how to deal with Nazis.

Thank you. Since they are friends, it seemed possible that there was some collaboration. (It wouldn't be the first time that Dylan didn't take credit, but it didn't seem to me to be his.)
January 29, 2026 at 12:52 AM
Your Excellency, I'm not sure if I have understood you correctly. You say that Bob Dylan wrote this new song?
January 29, 2026 at 12:41 AM
Excellent. If Bob Dylan didn't have a hand in it, sure is in that tradition. Long live the poetry of resistance!

What should enrage (not merely upset) people is not the images but the facts: what really is going on in the United States now; and what the Nazis actually did. Are we to put warnings on Plato and Thucydides, Chaucer and Shakespeare?
January 27, 2026 at 3:04 AM
We could be more blunt and call them Nazis. They would have us shout, in time for Holocaust Remembrance Day, "ein Volk, ein Reich, ein Führer".
January 26, 2026 at 3:57 AM
Sorry. From Aristophanes to Shakespeare imagery can be hard hitting when circumstances require.

Hard to walk, too, with the deeply inserted tongues of so many Repub-ass-lickers obstructing movement.
January 26, 2026 at 1:27 AM
Since when do Nazis apologize?
January 25, 2026 at 11:36 PM
These are not merely criminals and clowns; they are traitors. Every last one should swing in the wind from the gallows.
January 21, 2026 at 9:03 PM
Yup. A senile criminal, rapist, racist, psychopath & traitor, who sends his Gestapo to arrest, injure & kill at random & attacks foreign nations at will, says he isn't constrained by the Constitution & laws or by international law but only by his own mind & morality. Who will rid us of this monster?

Far as I know, that is a false ("folk") etymology of "narcissus". What is your source for it?
January 5, 2026 at 4:40 AM
Bravo! Thank you for reminding us.

No way he didn't cheat and/or bribe his way to a degree at Penn.

When the Lackey Court heard oral argument in the absolute immunity case, it was asked: What if a president wanted to eliminate his political enemies? That didn't bother the majority. Following that logic, after the opinion came out, Mr B could have neutralized six sleeper agents. Lost opportunity.

Only takes one (and not a summer time) patriot to flush it down.

From Open Secrets I gather that of the top 7 individual donors to the GOP in the 2024 federal election, who gave like a billion dollars all told, M. Adelson accounts for roughly 15%. So why is she alone in the tank? = responsible for the destruction of American democracy? Why is she there at all?
