My favorite Lynch. Such a twisted film. Glad to have had the chance to jaw about it with this most excellent team!

We continue our Hannibal Lecter series exploring everyone’s favorite cannibalistic serial killer with inarguably the best film in the series and the one that gave us Anthony Hopkins’ take on Lecter, it’s Jonathan Demme’s 1991 film The Silence of the Lambs.

What a great conversation! I learned so much about film distribution, the restoration process, and of course the dark animated film Felidae, of which our conversation's focused. Thanks for being a part of the conversation, team @deafcrocodile.bsky.social! 📽️🎥

A ★★★★ review of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 (1986)
Tobe Hooper's 1974 The Texas Chain Saw Massacre is a seminal horror film known for its unrelenting terror and nightmarish atmosphere. Much of this is due to the disturbing peculiarities of Leatherface...

Hey @mrfitzchicken.bsky.social. I finally watched Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2. Holy crap! What a movie! I know you rec'd it to me many times, but was it you who gave it to me on the FB movie exchange? Whether it was or wasn't, this was a fantastic experience and definitely one to revisit. 🎥 📽️

Man, what a bonkers, crazy movie! If you can watch on its vibe, it's a total blast. Not great, but tons of fun! @itsmepete.com and I chat about it on the show this week.
This week's TNR ep is live!
“You know what I like about amnesia?”
We return to our ‘Spoiled. Rotten? Twist Endings’ series with a film that certainly lives up to the idea of having plenty of twists and turns. We’re talking about Wolfgang Petersen’s 1991 film Shattered.

The best part of this conversation about a decently entertaining though somewhat forgettable 60s spy film is that @itsmepete.com and I go down quite a rabbit hole exploring aspic. We both come out of that chat feeling confident we're never going to try it, and may judge you a bit if you're a fan.

We wrap up our 1968 Crime Films series with a conversation about Anthony Mann’s final film, A Dandy in Aspic, in which Laurence Harvey plays a double agent hired by one side to kill his other side’s alter ego.
