This is too relatable! 😅

Oh that would really be something! 🤩 I wouldn’t bet on it, but I do hope there will be fun little quirks to this feature that we’ll find out about over time and hopefully some different outcomes and text boxes continuing to make it an interesting feature over time 😊

A lot of packs that were not focused around hobbies have added skills and activities that are some of my favourite ones to use as hobbies in the game and I believe it will continue like that with a skill or two in future packs ☺️

I think you can but I still don’t think they will work as regular doors as they are more of a gameplay object than an actual door (meaning I believe you would still need another sim to lock someone in or out if you used them on a different lot type) 🙂

That’s a very reasonable strategy, it’s really helpful that creators record and share their experiences with new packs and that we have communities like this where players can share if there is anything they think others should know so it’s possible to make more informed decisions before buying ☺️

The area allocation looks similar to For Rent but many of the other UI elements we’ve seen so far I think looks more like the club system from Get Together which works really well so I remain hopeful that this pack (by the team that made home chef hustle) could run well 🙂

They don’t function as normal doors, letting sims in and out of a cell is an interaction that can be accessed through clicking the door, when you play with the detective career you use it before and after processing suspects at the different stations (mugshot, prints, interrogation) 🙂

It makes sense for a small business and it looks like we’ll be able to customise each employee’s tasks quite extensively so they will probably be more useful than classic GTW employees in that sense.

That’s a good point, they’ve done that recently - but I agree that regions are good as it allows for broader representation. I’m excited about a Scandi world and I really hope that others who haven’t yet seen their regions represented will see worlds inspired by their regions in the game soon :)

Same, every week 🙃

This is of course just my thoughts based on my experience (I’m Swedish, but live in Copenhagen and have spent a bunch of time in Noway, and I speak all three languages), there is of course also a lot of overlap between the Nordic/Scandi and other countries so might look familiar to others too ☺️
February 19, 2025 at 12:42 PM
I think both the architecture and names of the world and neighbourhoods suggest a Nordic/Scandinavian vibe more generally rather than pointing to one specific location, it will be interesting to see if they’ve included any cultural recipes or if townie names shed further light on their inspiration ☺️

She’s in Copenhagen, ‘the little mermaid’ or ‘den lille havfrue’ in Danish. The story of the little mermaid was written by Danish author H.C. Andersen in 1837 and inspired the statue in Copenhagen harbour. I think there are nods to all Scandinavian countries from what we’ve seen of the pack so far.

Congratulations! What a perfect announcement 👶🏼😍

This challenge looks like so much fun, I immediately started building some lots and create some households for Henford-on-Bagley to prepare the storyline 😍 Also @misssimreno1.bsky.social it would be so much fun to see you do an LP based on this challenge if you also feel inspired by the concept 😍😍

I use retail a lot but only as a customer, I set the stores up with one household but then visit them with others ☺️

Thank you! 🤩

Looks great!

I’m also really excited about the customer perspective and curious for how for example classes will work from that perspective - it would be so great to be able to have my sims take pottery or cooking classes 😍
February 8, 2025 at 9:00 AM
I’m really keen to learn more about how skill classes will work and how it would work practically to host classes for base game skills like cooking, painting and writing. I wonder if you’ll be able to attend classes in a meaningful way or mainly just host them with your active household. 👀
