AuDHD trans girlie • Citizen of a vassal state of the US Empire • Collapse scholar in a past life • Usual scapegoat of people who embrace power and conformity • On a lighter note I love pear pies 🥧🦋🐌☀️💕
That's so interesting! Did you know that it would have a lasting effect? I am about to start a NBE program and damn, that's inspiring 🥰

Also, if you'd like the best conditions for either immigration or refugee admission, I'd recommend you checking France, Spain and Switzerland. To my knowledge, both France and Switzerland offer amazing universal health care (even for trans ppl, incl. surgeries), with France also covering FFS!

To my knowledge, refugee intake processes in non-transphobic countries do account for context-specific risks for cis-presenting trans people.

Imagine you had to flee Yemen: you wouldn't even have had to possibility to get an appointment with a gender therapist. Or having to prove being gay 🤦🏻‍♀️ How?

Unsure if it doable. Going the trans-radfem route might be better suited as historically it's easier to critique actual hegemonies and then then be coopted/recognized by dominant people than to access their traditional symbolical power centers without either major compromissions or erasure

Might be better so for you ☺️

On my side, I ended up being trashed like I was handled by ICE in the last irl trans community I joined with so I am know hyperaware for signs of purity politics and radfem-posturing ppl

Doctor gone, sad! 😣

(Ty for clarifying, but I was actually enjoying engaging with this humorous aspect : )

💯💯💯 This can't be said enough!

I am this relieved whenever I come across a radfem transfem who actually *does the work*, like IRL where I live most of those are insufferable misandrist purity-politics obsessed bitches. So thank you doctor 🤭

Do you also experience the pattern above IRL?

Furthermore, I'd argue that on a deeper level, implying that sex is not immutable indirectly threatens some subconscious core tenets of many moral economies from nearly all sides.

Also, upholding this distinction had many downstream uncomfortable implications for theoretical perspectives built on normative inclusion through the flattening or erasure of meaningful differences.

... especially in popular versions of gender and queer theory.
As such, it indirectly reflects how the existence of transsex people has been tokenized to advance the interests of gender deconstruction and queering in elite intellectual discourse and academia—a classical bourgeois recuperation.

This is actually sadly not recent. Viviane Namaste already wrote in 2000 how “queer” theorists actually erased transsexual lives/needs

For intellectuals and gender theorists “revolutionaries”, we mostly exist as intellectual curiosities or useful pieces on their checkboard against “patriarchy”.

It’s a classical in-group bias. In this closed-system moral economy, privilege has to give in somewhere for the system to change.

In the meantime, AMABs carry the unprocessed shame of the system 😪

In many aspects, cisfeminism is fundamentally built on the shared assumption that *AFAB-coded people possess an ontological moral superiority or supremacy because of their AFABness*.

This 100% highlights one of the places where *patriarchy* and most of the feminist ethos perfectly intersects. I am speaking of course of *ontological female innocence*, which is upstream from most of the subtle/not-so-subtle prevalent moral superiority/supremacy of AFAB-coded people 💁🏻‍♀️🔫🤯

Also, have you ever heard of Girard’s theory of scapegoating? I am sure you would find value and (perhaps) some solace in the mechanisms it uncovers.
