Substance painter screenshot of the work in progress textures for my mercenary character model. What's currently textured includes: Black camo shorts with a big texas buckle, a spot of color on the tactical turtleneck, and a yellow painted night vision device with an attached throat mic and radio. The kevlar vest, pauldrons, and gloves remain untextured. The previous image, from behind. You can clearly see the monitor on the goggles and the radio fastened to the back of the kevlar vest, as well as the reinforced tail loop buckle.

frame from the new halo trailer. foehammer echo-419 is wearing something that looks like a projector. a mockery of the helmet she originally had the original helmet from halo 1, on the bumblebee pilot. smooth luxurious anime blobject curves. classy and dripping aviation. shirow inspired the ORIGINAL original helmet (mirrored), as depicted in the 1995 anime cult classic noir thriller 攻殻機動隊 - GHOST IN THE SHELL (dir. Mamoru Oshii). this helmet was likely designed by the film's character designer, Hiroyuki Okiura.

Picking up work again on #boldnetworkednewtaction and doing an art pass on the characters. The game is set a century after Bold Lawless Lizard Action, so the Hund mercenaries are more technologically adept than the sword wielding guards they borrowed their old model from.

A copy of the DVD for Shinji Aramaki's APPLESEED (2004), the infamously 6/10 early cg lookin adaptation of the Shirow Masamune manga. The pull quote at the top reads: "A STUNNING VISUAL ACHIEVEMENT — IT'S A NEW MILESTONE FOR CG ANIMATION" - JOHN WOO An incredibly dubious pull quote from the back of the DVD, which reads: "Stylish, imaginative and action-packed, 'APPLESEED' is poised to overthrow 'THE INCREDIBLES' as the best animated film of the past year." -CINEMAFANTASTIQUE/CFO MAGAZINE needless to say; appleseed (2004) did *not* overthrow The Incredibles for best animated film that year are you fucking kidding me

I didn't even know there were 3 UHDs of it!! I know there's the Lionsgate release in steelbook and plastic, and that really recent JP UHD release with the gorgeous Hiroyuki Okiura art of Major and 2501's faces together (hoping that's the next one I snag)
