basics, but have you seen any cronenberg? dead ringers is my favie, but videodrome and the fly are great. i liked titane and tetsuo the iron man too (i guess i love a "what lies beyond this flesh" movie). and on another side, helter skelter and moon 👍

yesss for real, idk, like even if it's impossible too pin down what it is that reaches into these parts like... it's cool that it does. there's a certain catharsis in that. i kinda love to come out of something feeling bad, but knowing i can process it in my own time and it didn't happen to me haha

ooohh yeah, i feel like that's something I've also really opened up to is appreciating the intent in certain things over the specific execution. i love seeing what people are trying for, even if it's not totally within their means :)

hell yeah man, i think there is a real power in finding a way to painlessly engage with disturbing material. feeling the discomfort and knowing that it's not actually something that can hurt you in the ways you've been hurt. i think it's important!!
