I say Robert Parker's high-priced defense attorney character Rita Fiore can pull off a ponytail. Rita's eyes probably aren't gray, but they look good gray. A trick of the light, I'm calling it.

Sure to fall short of some fans' imagination, my artist's rendition of Robert B. Parker's Susan Silverman letting her hair down. I claim artistic license to give her a widow's peak.

Visibly influenced by Robert Parker, here's my early morning artist's rendition of Spenser out for a run or on a stakeout, lit by streetlamp and clad in Red Sox colors.

Here's my promised artist's rendering of Robert B. Parker's Hawk in 3/4 view. No head hair nor eye work necessary or included, but check out his gold-rimmed sunglasses and unsmiling mouth.

So far a squiggle is the best way I can represent my cartoon avatar's nose from the 3/4 view.
November 25, 2025 at 11:40 PM
Removing much of the outline and highlight on my avatar's nose, I get a subtle rendition, which, like the single shadow on the side of the head and face and neck, I prefer.

In Inkscape, I was able to use the nose stroke in the quoted post to create an unlined, even more 3D-looking shape.

After much trial and error, here's a quasi-3D nose for my cartoon 3/4-angled avatar.
November 22, 2025 at 11:26 PM
I think this latest update of my cartoon 3/4-angled avatar gives the mouth more dimension.
November 17, 2025 at 2:47 PM
Improved my 3/4 angle avatar's nose.
November 16, 2025 at 9:06 AM
Another sunglasses avatar, a much simpler design than in the quoted post, but better proportioned.

My latest attempt at sunglasses for my cartoon 3/4-angled avatar. Compare to a previous version in the quoted post.

My 3/4 angle avatar w/ right-sized eyes and brows.
November 13, 2025 at 2:06 PM
Here's my front-facing avatar w/ different highlights suggesting the shape of the nose. I think the brick background helps the avatar stand out compared to the image in the quoted post.
November 13, 2025 at 1:36 PM
Continuing to work on the proportions of my front-facing cartoon avatar's features. In the previous image in the quoted post, the eyes seemed small, the mouth wide.

Trimmed my cartoon avatar's eyebrows:

Back to my front-facing avatar to make the neck more proportional. Compare to the image in the quoted post.

"I've been, uh, working out."

1st cartoon portrait not of myself nor any real person, though I did start w/ the same Loomis head. I'm most pleased w/ the pageboy cut.
November 7, 2025 at 12:40 PM
This is my latest version of a cartoon 3/4 angle portrait wearing sunglasses (blue for Bluesky). Compare to an earlier version in the quoted post.
November 6, 2025 at 12:39 PM
This version of my 3/4 camera angle cartoon avatar has the side of the head and the neck in one long shadow.

Compare to the previous version in the quoted post.
November 4, 2025 at 10:39 AM
Here's a version of my 3/4 angle avatar giving you the side-eye. Compare to the looking-elsewhere version in the quoted post.

Another cartoon 3/4 portrait using color changes to suggest depth.
October 28, 2025 at 9:57 AM
Meeting my self-challenge from the quoted post, a 3/4 portrait of myself wearing a ball cap featuring the first slogan that came to mind.
October 26, 2025 at 4:00 PM
I created sunglasses for my cartoon avatar. The lenses are different sizes and colors to suggest the 3/4 perspective.
