Mitiini Numma means “To Grow The Truth” in Chochenyo.

Youth who participate in our program learn about the true history of the place they reside, the people who have stewarded it, and the plants and animals they share it with- growing their possible futures.

Showy Milkweed has definitely been SHOWING OUT on our Land sites!

Native to the western part of Turtle Island, this gorgeous perennial is food and habitat for monarch butterflies and has also been used by Indigenous people as fiber for ropes, basketry and nets, among other things.

Mitiini Numma youth participated in a fire workshop where they learned how to use a bow drill and other methods of making fire!

As Indigenous people, we value our sacred relationship to fire and are thrilled to be able to pass these teachings on to our young people.
