That was every bit as exhausting as Brazil was last year. Also, @williamsracingf1.bsky.social IN THE POINTS! Nicely done, Alex Albon! #Formula1

Carlos Sainz getting P2 in a Williams during FP1 is how I wanted my weekend to begin 🤗.

This is seriously awesome. I constantly ask ChatGPT for medical stuff for my parents and myself and it has helped me become more knowledgeable about our care and be a better advocate for them and myself.

You know that moment when an ink sample turns into your new favorite ink?
...
Okay, just me then. Thanks, Robert Oster. Blue Water Ice is so delightfully cold it sent chills down my spine. Ordered.

I don't know why y'all aren't talking about the show Paradise! It's. Gotten. So. Good! Just finished Ep. 5.

Definitely enjoying The Recruit more than The Night Agent.

It's a... well, let's call it an homage? The Jinhao version of the Pilot Vanishing Point costs $20 on Amazon and writes beautifully. Punches way above its weight.

Remains to be seen if it can last as long as the Pilot but I had to grab one just to give it a go.

This thing is still one of the best-designed laptops ever made from a hardware perspective. Top 3, easily.

Kinda wanna live in Diamond Heights. That view...

Anybody know where you can watch Formula E Live in the US? No, CBS/Paramount Plus doesn't have it. Neither does Roku.

I heard something today and I'm not sure how I feel about it.

Guy1: "... and if I can't do it myself, I can totally pep my way through it."

Guy2: "Huh? Pep?"

Guy1: "Yeah, like P-E-slash-P-P. Y'know, Prompt Engineer/Pair Program."

Guy2: "Ohhhh... cool, dude!"

Me: 🤨

Halfway through The Gorge and I'm already liking this movie. The buildup so far is solid.

I think I'm done heading to the movies to watch the next Marvel extravaganza. I was glad to see Anthony Mackie as Captain America, but as a movie it was just meh. I think I'm also suffering from a decent bout of Marvel fatigue now.

Tuned a fountain pen for the very first time. Utterly surprised when the process worked as advertised. This TWSBI works like a charm now!

Internet, I'm very disappointed in you. You didn't tell me about the Sony DualSense Edge controller for PS5. How could you?! It has paddles! And function buttons!

So disappointed.

Aramid Fiber cases are awesome. Super thin and feel great in the hand. Only downside is they seem to be smudge magnets...

It's kinda funny but my muscle memory is still sends me to Google instead of just straight to Gemini. Might take a while to turn that around...

It's annoying but I just can't unsee how slow the UI is on the S25 Ultra, specifically when returning to the home screen from an app. Yeah, the iPhone is just as slow, if not even slower. But once you've seen the responsiveness of the UI on the OnePlus 13, the Samsung is hard to deal with.
February 1, 2025 at 6:38 PM
There's just something about the animations on the @samsung.bsky.social S25 Ultra. Theyre slower than I'd like and even with the window, transition, and animator duration scale turned down to .5, it hasn't made much difference. Turning it off is too jarring. I need a .25 setting.

Is it just me or is the F1 media just all click bait? I'm getting to the point where I ignore almost all stories from outlets dedicated to racing in general.

Okay hear me out. If agents like Operator from OpenAI are the future, what happens when they're shopping for you and they hit a Captcha? Right now you have to take manual control to solve the Captcha but come on.
January 28, 2025 at 8:40 PM
This makes me chuckle. We've gone back a bit in time with some services. Send a prompt to a reasoning model or to OpenAI's Operator and you hit send, then go get coffee while the machine figures out the answer. Like the dialup days where you hit connect and walk away. Love it.

"... this is a revolutionary new code editor that will help you 10X your productivity with AI."

AKA the fastest way to get me to close a tab and GTFO.

Pro tip. If you're on a OnePlus 13, change your system font to Roboto. The standard OnePlus fonts just don't look right on this screen for some reason.
